League City has been recognized nationally as a great place to live, work and visit.  In 2006, Money magazine voted our community as one of the Top 100 Best Places to Live.   In addition to our great residential communities and excellent schools, League City also has many unique attractions.

League City is host to many outdoor events and activities.  Golfers may choose from three courses including a traditional 27-hole course, a 27-hole Scottish links course, and an 18-hole lighted course.  Boat enthusiasts can enjoy the third-largest leisure boat community in the United States.  The docks and marinas along Clear Lake allow direct access to Galveston Bay as well as to fine dining and shopping.  Sports enthusiasts can check out the Big League Dreams Sports Park which was recognized nationally by USSSA as the 2006 Complex of the Year.

The League City Historic District distinctively preserves the city’s history through its architecture and atmosphere.  The Historic District’s museums, parks, tea rooms and shops authentically portray the many aspects of League City’s diverse past.  The Historic District is the place to enjoy many of the city’s festivals, parades and outdoor concerts.

League City’s charm and hospitality is enhanced by its great location in close proximity to Houston, the Kemah Boardwalk, Space Center Houston, and Galveston Island.  Whether you choose to visit League City for its many attractions or to make your home in one of our master-planned communities, we welcome you to our city.
